Summer Special Photo Tour

Here's the idea: I'm in Fairbanks, but most Alaskans are not. I want to take photos of everybody's horses, but that will require a road trip. I need the road trip to pay for itself.

So, if you would like photos taken? I would like to come to you to take them! Up to three week-long photo shoot road trips are possible this summer.

I only need ten 1/2 hour bookings per week make each road trip happen! Click "Book Now!" to jump to the booking form to see the scheduling options.

  • 2 fully-edited high-resolution photos
  • Option to order add'l discounted photos

What To Expect:

Whether you need new stallion marketing material, or want keepsake artwork of your heart horse, my goal is for my photos to bring a smile to your face every time you look at them. And years of experience in client-focused art and design work has taught me this: The key to making sure everyone walks away happy is to make sure the client knows what to expect up front. So, here is the rundown:

Photo Shoot Day

A half-hour photo shoot is short, so please have your horse all polished up and ready to go when I arrive! I want to have plenty of time to get lots of good shots for you to choose from. If possible, I prefer to photograph horses in a round pen or small paddock, so I can take photos without the horse needing a halter. Of course, if you have a halter you would like your horse to wear for (all or part of) their shoot, I'm happy to oblige!

Ordering Photos

You'll receive at least 10 unedited proofs to choose your two included images from, a week or two after the shoot. The finished photos will be delivered in a variety of sizes, from fast-loading small web-friendly pngs, to high resolution images large enough to print poster-size. When I send the proofs, you can order additional edited photos for $25 each. IMPORTANT: Any photos ordered after the initial order is placed will be full price ($50/ea).

Scheduling & Weather

When you fill out the booking form, please mark the listed weeks as 1st, 2nd, and 3rd choice. Then, I'll contact everyone to schedule for the week that the most people marked 1st. Of course, all bookings are weather permitting (unless you have a very well-lit indoor arena). And of course that is difficult, because the forecast might look great two days ahead, and then turn into a downpour day of. Your booking deposit will carry over if anything weather-related (or, heaven forbid, wildfire related) necessitates rescheduling.

But I'm in Fairbanks!

If you're in the Fairbanks/North Pole area, you can ignore all the scheduling nonsense, and I'll be in touch to arrange a photo shoot for you whenever is most convenient for both of us. No ten booking minimum needed for my local folks!

Interested? Book Here!

Please fill the form out completely, if you're interested in booking a photo shoot. I'll be in touch via email to hammer out exact scheduling with everyone, as soon as I have enough interest for an entire road trip.

About The Photographer

I started learning about photography in high school, back in the olden days of film photography. I still have that antique Minolta somewhere. These days I use a Canon 5D MkIII, and enjoy not having to fumble around with film developing equipment to see how my photos turned out. I would love for this summer road trip project to become the start of turning photography from a little side-hustle to a real (if part-time) job.

I grew up with horses and dogs and cats being a constant, and other critters coming and going in the household over the years. I'm as happy photographing dogs or ferrets as I am working with horses. I love landscape and architectural photography as well. I'm basically happy to come do a photo shoot of literally anything you'd like photos taken of (although humans are the most difficult critters to work with).
